Well, I live in North Carolina where we're inundated daily with stories on the "Duke Rape Case." The press routinely refers to the stripper/hooker who caused the whole thing as a "single working mother and college student."
So I guess that the latest PC name for a prostitute is a "Single Working Mother and College Student."

In the Philippines, girls who entertain men in bars are called Guest Relations Officer (GRO). I heard of a new term for prostitutes but really forgot. Sorry, try asking in the Philippines category.
But I think the alternative term for prostitutes whether male or female is ESCORT. If your a woman, your a Female Escort.
