Be yourself...if someone is going to like you they will because of who you are. Here are a few tips to step out of your box if your shy...
Go to places where theres a lot of people mingling...coffee shop, movie, or concert. Invite cousin relatives and their friends your own age over and plan an outting...I'm sure before you know it you'll be the star of the party...go for it!!

hey listen friends are not tuff to make but please the person u want to make friend u should trust him and listen some friends r not good friends r those who are like u in some manner just assk anyone for being a friend.ok

join some club of some of your intrests, could be tennis, gym, music, photography.
Also go in those trips that your company may offer.
Go to the museum with a lot of people.
Depends what do you like to do, and join people with it, this is thebest to find some buddies.
