I wonder how much other parents allow their sons to play game. My son is 7 y.o. and sits in front of the PC 3-4 hours a day and more in the weekends. I think its to much, but what do other parents allow. I will say that he play LEGO starwars, so its not a game with blood and so. He need to use his brain in this game, so I don't know.

Yes, he's only seven! I'd limit his gaming time on the computer to only a hour a week, he's in school so try and get him interested in other activites besides the PC. We had a Mac when I was very young, but all the games I played were educational like Oregon Trail, Reader Rabbit, Math Muchers etc. Try and find some educational games that are fun but will still teach him things. Talk to the teachers at his school, they probably have several educational game titles. Other than playing PC:

+Play board games with him
+Take him outside to play sports, baseball, soccer etc.
+Leap Pad-they have games for math, english etc.
+As a family, go out to eat or see a movie
+Family Bowling
+Sking
+Watch TV together in the evening
+Toys, legos...

On the weekends, 3-4 hours isn't bad for the weekends however.

That's a bit too much for a seven year old, I guess. Let 2 hours be a maximum. When he gets older, he'll play games with blood and gore, and the 3-4 hours would extend to 7-8, sometime going as much as 16 (with the 8 remaining for sleep).

And trust me, he's not using his brain (ok, maybe he is, but not that much compared to other puzzle games) to play Lego Starwars. The puzzles there are pretty easy, and I can say that there's a whole lot more dicing bricks here and there. I've played that, just so you might know :D.

as long as it's educational and your son learns something, then it's fine. Try to make sure that your son is playing not only because he's having fun, but also because he's learning. However, I think 3-4 hours is still too much. Maybe 1-2 hours a day is enough. Besides, 3-4 hours of computer a day will damage his eyes.

R U NUTS kids have a right to play games i mean its educational all the time no matter what their doing they could be expanding their imagination or vocabulary from a game and some games like dance dance revolution are great for keeping in shape
BUT keep in mind they should not live on the computer because it sometimes fryes your eyes
and as for what other adults do for their kids usually around 8-10

if he has to use his brain, maybe you should play the game also.
