i dont think any gender is better than the other at communicating... it all depends on how able a person is to be truthful about what they are saying and fully themselves understand the point that they are trying to get across... catch that? also i think it depends on how well a person was communicated with when they were a child, if as a child emotions and feelings and opinions were always kept to themselves and they never had anyone to talk to, then it is more difficult to posses that trait when they are older... another factor in the matter is how much the person that is supposed to be listening listens or cares. if they only half listen to what u have to say or have an immediate opinion on what you are saying before you are done, then they arent getting the entire drift of whats being said, and if they dont really care about anything u have to say, then the communication is lost from the begining and the conversation no matter what is meant to fail...

thats my opinion on the matter.... and its ok to disagree... it was an opinionated question

As a general rule, women are better at detailed direct verbal and non-verbal communication. What this means is that a woman is usually more socially developed to express such relevant information as feelings, thoughts, hopes, dreams, disappointments, and so on.

Because the way people communicated was constructed along social/gender lines, men understood that to be 'talky' was a female-oriented way to converse, and thus developed a system of indirect relations usually via metaphors. Where as women will more directly talk to another woman about a problem she is having, and in detail, a man will talk indirectly and generally to another man in the same regard.

Neither gender is truly 'better', but the social implications of communication have influenced how each gender learns how to express themselves. As more men learn from other men (and women) about how to 'communicate', the parity will return.

Their are way too many factors to determine which gender is a better communicator. The quick answer is that there is no gender better at communicating. Because communication can mean so many different things to different people based on an endless number of things; such as age, weight, culture, religous background, and GENDER. You are starting from a false premise. Choose a different topic for your project. One that you can receive concrete evidence and proof to support your point.

research points towards women: they are better at understanding, they juggle more roles every day and thus are better at putting forth their point while also listening to the other party. however, as in all things, communication is a skill which must be practised and learned. women might have an innate ability but it means nothing if they have not learnt to use it. men may not have the ability but they may gain it from everyday practice

This is a female's privilege! Ever seen a man talking on the phone for 3 hours?

Women.

I'm 43, a computer programmer and network administrator and I STILL struggle to communicate with people.

Women think better on their feet when it comes to communicating with other people.

I always think of really good things to say AFTER the fact.

Depends what you're communicating about!!

If it's an emotional subject, I'd bet on a woman more than a man.

Women duh...we could go on and on and on about almost anything! We also tend to listen more and be more compasionate to others( hence the motherly thing) I'm not saying that men can't communicate women just practice it more often.

I think women are better communicators,i guess i heard too somewhere, they speak and listen well, men tend to be more disclosed and you've got sometimes to force them to spell out their mind!
