I have always wanted to be a Police Officer since the age of five. However, the reasons for joining have changed since then. My ability to help people have assisted in my desire. (When your five its the lights and siren) Not only the assisting part, but also to be able to help people better themselves.

I can think of three different pools:

1. Former juvenile delinquents ( they were impressed with the police early in life).

2. EMTs who want to help people through police work.

3. Adrenaline junkies

When I was an MP - it was not only to serve my country in our nations military, but to help uphold the laws of whatever base I was stationed at the time and help people in need of protection.

Have you ever heard the motto "to serve and protect"?
