No. You can never trust anyone you meet on the internet who you have never met in person. I would never agree to meet up with them anyway or give them any personal info about myself. It's too risky and not worth it.
The only thing you can do is trust that he can't do anything 'bad' to you as long as you don't tell him your real (especially full) name, phone number, home address, place of employment, etc..

Well, if I were you, I wouldn't trust him just yet. You don't know whether he's good or not. I mean, he could be a serial killer disguised as a charming man. You never know. So if he wants to meet up with you personally, to be on the safe side, decline, if you treasure your life. That's what's best for you. Like what the other answerer said, there really are sick and twisted people online looking for someone gullible enough to prey on.
