If every person in the world was to commit one selfless act, would we all be more appreciative of the people and things around us?

Yes. I wish everybody commits one selfless act. An act which might be simple for me may actually be difficult for someone else in someother circumstances. U will never know how difficult it is for that person unless u step in to that person's shoes. I feel people should stop being judgemental about others and do whatever they can do to help the soceity and the future generations - like stop littering, plant a tree, avoid using plastic etc.

I think there are loads and loads of people who commit one ( ore more) selfless act every day. Not everybody is a bastard and not every bastard is a complete bastard. Even bastards commit selfless acts now and then. It's just not enough to make this whole world more appreciative of the people and the things around us. If you start by being more appreciative yourself, then there's at least one less person you have to worry about. You'll never get the whole world to be appreciative because there's too much poverty, violence and domination in this world.

Definitely yes.
This is the time of human maturity, we will learn to think, act and deal with each other in more wise and more reasonable ways. The Internet, the TV, Radio and other world fora are excellent means to spread high ideals. Yes, all will begin with each thinking individual.
