I have been noticing a lot of racists on here, and I just have to wonder why do you hate me so much? I come from a good home, my parents worked, and we did not recieve public assistance. I went to good schools. I had a 4.0 gpa in high school. I am now 22-years-old. I live in a nice neighborhood. I have 2 small children and am married. I work, my husband works, and we are both business majors in college. We are not living off of the government, we pay our own way. My current gpa is 3.0, and it would be higher if it weren't for the kids and full-time job. I work very hard for everything that I have. And I am not the exception, I know many young Black people who are smart and successful. My parents raised me to work hard, get an education and pay my own way in life. So why do you hate us so much?

To judge anyone merely by the color of their skin is foolish. You seem like a very nice person that I'm sure I'd be proud to call a friend. However, many people believe you, as a black person, are more the exception than the rule. The media (at least in the US) seems to be concerned only w/ crime, hardship, (anything negative) . So it is in this vein that many people form their opinion about other races and ethnicity's, especially ones they do not interact with. For example we are constantly given statistical information about how black people (as a percentage of their race) make up the largest parts of prison populations, the poor, etc. Whether these reports are true, I don't know. The point is people are constantly being bombarded w/ only things negative, which I think, often causes negative attitudes and stereotypes to perpetuate. JMO

Why your thinking that all people do? I am too an minority I see some racists remarks. I can't judge that people hate me cause my skin color. You might ask why am i born this life style, on this side of the earth, in this type of body. Well is the test of life. Some people are dealt with different cards. You have to be the best possible person you can be. Giving hate always makes more hate. So it doesn't mater why do people hate other people. Well that's what i think. so choose if i make sentences or not. Oh i hope you have a great 2007!

I personally do not hate black people, but what I do hate actually that is the wrong word to use, what I totally abhor is the blatent whining and shrieks of racism that abound whenever things don't go the way of a person of a different race other than that of the white european. Come on, you know this happens and I do wonder when English society will have enough of this childlike mentality and say that enough is enough. We've been conditioned to not say anything for fear of being a racist or run the risk of upsetting some minority within the land of our own births. The whole balance of things is way off, and it would be nice to see a shift back to make things a bit more fair, and then perhaps we could concentrate on healing the wounds and sharing the planet as a human race as opposed to squabbling amongst ourselves over little patches of ground upon this beautiful planet.

I hate to tell you, but you ARE certainly the exception. An ALARMING percentage of young, black males are in prison. Think it's actually 1 in 10 or something. No lie... No exaggeration...

Many blacks have fallen victim to a lifestyle presented by the media with the sole purpose of imprisoning Americans and replacing them with foreign / slave labor in mind. Nobody cared... and now all American workers are being ruthlessly attacked by the bankrupt, globalist controlled, "American" government.

I don't hate blacks at all. Although, a HUGE percentage of the black population does not make much of an impression. I've also noticed a tendency for many blacks to TRY and act differently (mostly in ways that make them appear dumb or immature), while those who really want to succeed, black or white, must try to conform, like it or not.... And then these "different" people complain of "discrimination". Can you honestly deny this???

Not me! I think the reason why some people hate black people is because you guys are always being optimistic and looking for the good in life! Anyways, I love black people the way I love myself! I've had many black friends and I couldn't dream of giving them up just because they're black! Anyways, be well=)

I don't hate black people or anyone else. I think all of us are more alike than we are different. I think that media is really what stirs trouble. I do think we live in a time of reverse discrimination. White people are the only ones who are protrayed as to be predjuiced but that is simply no the truth. Black people can be just as predjuiced. Igorence comes in all colors but the media only relays one side of the story and that is what I hate the MEDIA so much.

I don't hate black people. I avoid thinking of people in terms of groups and focus on individuals instead. I wish more people did the same. There's plenty of cool people in every group, but some people prefer focusing on the bad apples and miss out on the good ones because of prejudice.

No...I go out of my way to disregard anybody's appearance when I'm dealing with them. It's a tough mental exercise in today's cultural climate...but I remind myself that we're all God's children and that appearance is irrelevant. (It's no coincidence that percentage-wise, there are very few blind racists.)

I raised my kids to NEVER describe anybody as black or white or whatever. I'm very proud of my kids when they for example, are pointing out a classmate to me, they'll say "that kid in the green jacket" instead of "that Black kid over there."

I think that generation by generation, this is the only way we'll ever weed out this silly race obsession.

But to answer your question, I don't hate anybody that I can think of. There's probably some people out there I don't particularly like...who might HAPPEN to be "black"...but I don't dislike them BECAUSE they are "black."

There are alot of idiots on here, but I also want to know why do some black people feel the need to be accepted by the idiots? They don't care about how many accomplishments we have made they will still hate us. note: (I am not calling all non blacks idiots, just the racist.) lol

Racists tend to be most vocal on the Internet because it is anonymous, "safe" if you will, where they can vent these sentiments without fear of repercussions. If you walk around in real life and say racist things, you could wind up fired, or at least publicly disliked. On the Internet, though, the worst that can happen is getting flamed (Internet equivalent of being yelled at) or banned from a forum somewhere.

As for the question of why people feel this way to begin with, your guess is as good as mine. There seems to be a very strong human tendency to try to classify people with a series of labels, and another tendency to be suspicious or mistrustful toward those you consider different from themselves. These together, and combined with our society's history of separation along racial lines, form racism.
