Yes on the whole we do. Terrorism and the likes of Saddam have to be stopped and removed. No one likes war and they have had enough warnings. If we don't stop them they will go on killing innocent people and causing worldwide destruction. They are trained to kill to get their point across and that is not the way to go about it. They are cowards and use women and children in their efforts to control and enforce their misguided beliefs about religion. They do not care about humanity, and want the whole world to conform to their beliefs. We cannot just sit back and let them continue with their brutality. It isn't just about Iraq. There are other countries involved in world terrorism and they too will either have to stop or face the consequences.

There has never been a complete study, so far as I am aware. The Government which took us into the Iraq debacle won the last General Election, so one could say from that a qualified 'yes' to the question. Qualified, because Iraq wasn't really made an issue and people were probably voting for things which affected them directly - education, taxation, the National Health Service etc. Although we have lost many soldiers killed in Iraq, those deaths have only directly affected a tiny minority of the population, certainly nowhere near enough to have any effect on the outcome of an election. In fact, the father of one soldier killed stood directly against Tony Blair in his constituency on an anti-war, the war is illegal, ticket, but didn't do very well. I would guess that if the British people were faced with the direct questions 'do you support the war in Iraq' and 'should the troops be brought home', the answers would be 'no' and 'yes'

No I do not support the war in Iraq.
We would be better fighting the war in Britain.
The war of poverty,The war on homelessness, The war on illegal immigration, The war on poor housing N.H.S cuts and Education.
We should be cleaning up our own back yard before destroying Iraqs.

My 2 best friends are English, and they live in Devon, and Yorkshire. They support the war in Iraq wholeheartedly, but I have heard of some that don't. The ones who are not my friends, but bloggers against the war, appear to be nothing but British liberals who hate America. Not one time have I spoken to an English person who claimed to be against the Iraq war, that also didn't hate this country (USA), or have some thoughts about President Bush being shot, hung, or murdered in some way. So what does that tell you? My 2 best friends who are British born, and respected (one is a postman, the other a Realtor) are in agreement of the war in Iraq, and the good that will come of it.
