What has caused us to develop such a "white trash" underclass that worships celebrity?

We've seen our inarticulate, ill-educated, ignorant underclass, embodied by CBB's Jade, Danielle, Jack and Jo, on prime time tv this week instead of "Trisha" and "Jeremy Kyle" where such behaviour is usually confined.

This seems to have left the general public shocked, as if a secret has been let out of the bag in highlighting to the world what the UK is becoming. A nation where the aspiration of a generation is to gain "reality tv show" fame in absence of effort, skills or talent to achieve wealth and prominence through hard work and application.

Will some good come out of this, in that we will no longer tolerate the nation's media creating "Joe Public" superstars out of talentless halfwits? Or will, as I fear, we just crucify Jade and put her put it down as a "one off", and let the underclasses return to "Trisha" and Jeremy Kyle" where we don't have to watch them or worry about them....

we only tolerate it becuase there is public demand or they would not show it. just this big brother has got your attension by writing this post.
also it shows what normal conversation inside peoples houses. i bet if you put a big brother camera in people homes then most people would be shocked to hear what people talk about behinde close doors. i bet that they do not speak th same out side thier walls. this is what makes it interesting.

i cannot see anything rascist about those comments. just english peopl mainly "asian english " people looking for any hint for a reason to try and exerise there "freedome of speach" which our country gave them as they entered our country. I am afffended by thousands of portesters. who in govment is going to stand up for my rights. no one! an argument is an argument. people argue. spade is a spade. a jade is a jade. she opplogised for the argument that should be it.

what would 40 000 people be prostest if they had a go at someone in the house's big nose.

We all crave 'fame' and power it is sexual.
As a man I used worry about the shocking amount of thought and effort I put into this one need. I used to worry that 'people today' were shallowly seeking form (pulling power) over substance (brilliance), but now I have grown up and learnt how to laugh.

I quite agree with what you are saying...we give too much importance to silly imbeciles with no proper education. These cretins or morons think they are big celebrities on our backs... Their behaviour is frequently being questioned and they think they are above the rest. Recently we have heard from the bigot Jade who has permitted herself to insult a housemate and a whole nation ... saying that Indians are thin because they do not know how to cook .. Does she perhaps forget to mention , they eat healthily and that is one of the resons they keep themselves fit and are thin..unlike herself;not eating all the trash ...like herself may be ... to look fat and obese. and also Indian curry is the British national dish!
What happens to all our teachers, doctors, educationalists, engineers etc who have spent a whole lifetime to improve the lives of others ...What do the celebrities like Jade or Jo ,Jack who does not know how to write or read bring to us?They do not know how to respect others' cultures; and what culture do they portray themselves. the F word, insults, swearings, These are the only words that exist in their vocabulary? bullying ...sniggering ...?Do we take it that this is the typical British culture we go by with? What else then?
Big brother has not taken any proper measures against these contestants to sanction racist remarks and other ditherings. They are responsible to tolerate such unconditional behaviour and should themselves be sanctioned and Big brother should be banned altogether. Did you watch some excerpts of BB on E 4 ...the lousy presenter making very obscene remarks with very significant gestures.. "O My God!" . What background does this presenter have ? Is he a celebrity too?
A total wastage of money , energy, when we could put to better use and improve our lifestyle and be more refined in our tastes.
These so-called panjadrums, full of bigotry and narrowness are a menace to society and if we want to bring up our children to operate in a respectable society andI quite agree with what you are saying...we give too much importance to silly imbeciles with no proper education. These cretins or morons think they are big celebrities on our backs... their behaviour is frequently being questioned and they think they are above the rest. recently we have heard from the bigot Jade who has permitted herself to insult a housemate and a whole nation ... saying that indians are thin because they do not know how to cook .. These so called panjadrums full of bigotry and narrowness are a menace to society and we want to bring up our children to a respectable society and how to behave in public or at home these programmes are no contribution to achieveing our goals...Unless ... they have shown their true visage . This is how they behave at home and behind our backs . If we want Britain to evolve in this direction of dishonour and shame, a nation endorsing xenophopic attitude then we are well on our way to an undenying success!
