I can tell in a second if a guy is attracted, but when it comes to girls...

my opinion:
Gaydar is simply us picking up on cues that other people give off. Like others have said, it doesn't really work at 100% and can actually be misleading.
For me, it's like the ability to tell when someone is full of cr*p. I think I "just know". Many times I am right. Occasionally I am wrong. And sometimes I don't catch on that someone is conning me. But if I go with my "instinct", I am often right.
In order for you to interpret the cues you have to have some experience for your brain to base the assessment on. So, if you are just developing your gaydar, just trust that it will develop over time.

Gaydar is like riding a bike in my opinion. It is something that you learn, and as you use this skill more, the better you become at it. You never forget how to use it, but you may get rusty at it if you don't get out there and use it all the time.

You can't.
Except for the obvious "watch who they are physically attracted to", since it's the definition, there are no signs, and therefore no ability to read them.
If you assume that you always spot who's gay, it's probably because you've missed a few who just seemed "normal"--and likely counted a few straight guys.

well I used to be so good at it that I used to impress all my friends. But lately mine is kinda like out of synchronization or something. But at least the past 3 dudes that I asked out tell me they are straight and we still friends till the date. I guess you have to be in the crowd all the time to get all the updates so you can stay in touch with the last report of how gays are acting
