I have always wanted to go to a nudist camp/beach but am worried about getting an erection. Does this go against protocol? What are peoples thoughts?

nudist sites are about being natural
erections are very natural
it shows you are happy, relaxed.
if anybody takes offense at it then they really should not be in the nudist site.
aslong as you are not flaunting it in front of people, rubbing it or poking it at others.
if you just ignore it and carry on as normal other nudists wont give it a second glance

I think you know it is neither right nor wrong - it is not a moral question. What I think you mean to ask is how do people at a nude beach react to a man getting an erection that can be seen by others at a nude beach.
Having been at many such places i can summarize. A man who is unaccompanied by a woman, who shows little facial expression, does not speak to others or smile, seems unsettled and glances everywhere is the kind of guy who arouses negative reactions from many people. An unconcealed erecion on this guy is disturbing even to the wildlife. Most are harmless and are married to women who would not in 20 lifetimes entertain their husbands natural desire to enoy a nude beach.
Believe it or not, it is unusual for a man to get an erection at a nude beach; any development is brief easily hidden. At nude places like Hedonism in jamaica, it is dismissed with a smirk as a moment of immaturity and seen as evidence that the man hasn't often been around nude strangers. But like anywhere else, a guy who stands around with an erection as if he doesn't care or know, is going to labeled as a weirdo.
But erections are fun and a part of the naturally erotic atmopsphere of a nude beach and are appreciated settings such as the contest to see which guy can hold aloft a hand washcloth the longest.
The short answer is tis; are you trying o showoff or do you have a little agenda that you think is your secret? Guess what? You'll stick out like a sore thumb and impress no one.

A nude beach is the last place a person is going to be sexually aroused. The people who go there are not "playboy centerfolds" and "stud monkeys", they are average people: some thin, some fat and flabby, and very few perfect bodies.
Erections are sometimes incidental; can you honestly say that you have _never_ gotten an erection in your life without sexual arousal? Some men become erect simply by strenuous activity (sports, a fist fight, etc.).
Erections do happen occasionally at nude beaches. The problem arises (no pun) is when erections are constant, when men are thinking about sex. Then it's considered poor etiquette and a lack of self control by the offender.
Before you go:
- Meet with a regular naturist and talk about the beaches.
- Practice being bare in front of others by wearing a thong or g-string swimsuit where it's permitted. Some nude beaches will allow partial coverage.
- Walk around your house naked on a regular basis to get used to the feeling.
At the beach:
- Bring a book to read and music to listen to. If you're doing something non-sexual, you won't think sexual.
- Don't stare at anything but faces and the landscape; wear a hat to block your vision (but not to conceal what you're looking at).
- Think "dead dog, dead dog..." (or something similar and a big turn off) if you feel an erection coming on.
I used to go to nude beaches, but I stopped. I like tan lines.

I have been to several nude beaches. Never once did I sport an erection simply by being amount nude women. And I never noticed any other men standing around either.
After the first several minutes you stop thinking about being at a nude beach and start enjoying the warm sun, the sand and going in the ocean.

Other than "newbies" such as yourself this rarely happens and, "NO" it isn't because we are all "dogs". It may be difficult for some of you to understand but not everyone finds the same thing attractive (fortunately, or wonder where you would be!). When you spend all your time around naked people you develop a more mature attitude and actually see them as people not just sex objects.
Go, enjoy and maybe you will be pleasantly surprised.

I'm sure you won't be the first or last to experience such a predicament. Since nudists have no hang ups about the body, I'm sure it won't be an issue, provided that you act as discreetly and appropriately as you can in the circumstances.
