Hey Chey_cat
When I first heard of this I thought as I think most people did and do that it's crazy. For 1 its not going to act as a deterrent because people are going to do what they do.Being given the death penalty for murder hasn't worked as one so why would this?.I can tell ya this though and this is a fact!!,if I got cheating on my old lady, they better put me in a Maximum Security facility for my protection and even then she'd probably get to me.haha no joke.

Instead of making laws like this they should do something about child support reform and fix that system in Michigan because it stinks!!!!! And if you cheat on your spouse and go to jail, how do you pay support???????

Then 70% of the men and 30-40% of the women in Michigan would be in prison for life, according to statistics on cheating.
At least traffic would clear up, and there'd be no line at Safeway.

I am SOOOO Glad!!!! Cheating is the wrong thing to do, and I think it makes sense to make it a law...1: It ruins Families....2: It's wrong anyway.......3: Divorce rates may start to decrease. I mean, why get married if you're gonna cheat on your spouse? It hurts them and your kids. It really hurts to see your dad cheat on your mom countless times, and not to get punished for it. I say THANK GOD!!!!

It's great, it should be in the country's Constitution too. People's feeling isn't a toy for people use and dispose like a t-shirt. A large number of crimes, in particular murders are related to infidelity. I think its a great way to prevent the worst of happening. People are still always free to do wherever they want. They still have the option of getting a divorce. I can't count how many times I've heard things like "my wife is married, me? No", "Time for a "business trip" etc etc etc. Why get married if you plain to live like single? Betraying your own family, the one you should protect it, should be yes, considered a crime. We have to remember, when a spouse cheats, she or he, isn't cheating just the partner but the whole family's structure, included the kids. I never forget the hell I lived when I was a little girl because of my father's cheating. It's very painful for a child to see a mother of a father suffering and don't be able to do anything. Things get even worse, when the suffering is been caused by someone whom we love too.
If physically hurting someone is a crime, emotionally should be considered too.

study greater intently. all the criminal human beings consulted suggested no person might ever circulate to penal complex for it. It became used to make yet another intercourse-for-pills crime a legal. "no person expects prosecutors to declare open season on cheating spouses", "no person has been convicted of that offense because 1971", and "all individuals who thinks in any different case is hallucinogenic" are between the fees from the article. by using the way, it particularly is asserted as being a "philanderer." What must be a legal is leaping to conclusions and applying words you may no longer spell yet do no longer hardship to look up.

One its a waste of time and tax payer dollars to pass a law such as this. Its a good theory that cannot be proven or enforced. Its your word against theirs and no judge is going to sentence someone to life for being unfaithful, get real. I like the concept as I never cheat but its a stupid waste of tax payer dollars.
