Nigeria can do better but the instability which revolves around the Delta region brings question marks to many to venture into the country.
Corruption and insecurity is another factor even though the Bureau of Investigation chief is doing a good job so far.

The Main problem of Nigeria and African countries is that their priorities are different from the norms, which are backbone of any profitable venture.
It is very difficult for Nigeria and African countries to change their way of thinking, removing the materialistic approach of the individual who are in power to abuse their position.
Once the above is overcome then progress will be faster and even in par with the industrialized countries but it will take decades, even centuries or never.

work also on the reputation of your people: all over the world, they are feared for viokence, scams, stealing, drugs, weapons traffic, and illegal activities...
