that's loopy, shows that the entire American Oligarchy in DC can e book a value ticket in an MFO. (meanwhile pointed out Flying merchandise=Cannon Ball) Germany's capital has a gay Mayor, socialist. Germany's 2d greatest city, Hamburg, has a gay Mayor, Christian-Democrat, the two cities crusing incredibly properly in afflicted inexpensive waters. humorous in that context, the "Republican" coalition spouse in Hamburg, tried to blackmail the Chr.-Democrat in wish to take over, then he went public to the clicking in a charade with out dignity - and circulate parent - Hamburg voters voted that bigot sucker out very rapidly, as long as Ole von Beust would not rejoice public events or tries to make being gay vital (lol) they particularly seem on the political overall performance in smart international locations, and that i might guess my final dime, THERE B.Clinton had no longer lied.

They are called the "Log Cabin Republicans" (for those who identify with the party). They vote with the party because they are fiscally conservative, neo-conservatives, and basically every type of conservative except socially conservative, and they may even be that with issues like abortion and stem cells. They have to choose between voting their entire conscience line minus gay rights or vote for gay rights and tend to choose their conscience minus gay rights.

I have no idea, but I know that the Log Cabin Republicans at our last Pride Day Festival can't answer the question either.

This is a million dollar question -- I have asked myself this question many times, but I couldn't come up with a decent answer.
I even know personally a few gay people who voted for that idiot. I think they are just stupid.

By being a registered Republican, one can vote in the primary elections between Republican candidates as well as the general elections between candidates from each party. By doing so, gay people registered Republican can vote against homophobic candidates in both the primary and general elections.
Barry Goldwater, a figurehead of Republican politics, had these things to say:
On Gays in the Military: "You don't need to be 'straight' to fight and die for your country, you just need to shoot straight."
On the Religious Right's agenda in general: "Religious factions will go on imposing their will on others unless the decent people connected to them recognize that religion has no place in public policy."
On what Jerry Falwell deserves for trying to impose his religious values on the Republican agenda: "a boot ... right in the" a§.
On gay discrimination: "Anybody who cares about real moral values understands that this isn’t about granting special rights—it’s about protecting basic rights." & "The big thing is to make this country, along with every other country in the world with a few exceptions, quit discriminating against people just because they're gay. You don't have to agree with it, but they have a constitutional right to be gay."
and on being a Republican: "I am a conservative Republican, but I believe in democracy and the separation of church and state. The conservative movement is founded on the simple tenet that people have the right to live life as they please, as long as they don’t hurt anyone else in the process."
The Republican party has strayed from its roots in order to placate the fringe right-wing groups in order to get a few more votes.
It may have been practical to be both gay and Republican a few years ago in order to have a voice within the party, but since the Republican party has become hijacked by the far right-wing evangelicals and the Democratic party continues to distance itself from controversial gay rights issues, it seems to be more practical to be registered Democrat to vote in primary elections as well as general elections and prevent Democrats from taking the gay vote for granted and not affecting any change in the status quo.

Because they feel they have more in common with the Republicans then the Democrats. If you're truly curious about their stance, take a look at their official webiste.

Because their "Mommy" and "Daddy" belong to the horsey set and they paid their gay sons' and daughters' way to Yale. Upper-middle class conservatism is a privelige that even gay boys don't want to renounce, darling.

Those are the ones who have serious issues... I mean, there's always someone from every group that goes against the majority. It makes me quite sad to know that there are actually people from the LGBT who voted for Bushitler.
