No, I don't think anyone in the league gets "calls" from the refs.

If you think about it and watch how the players who shoot a lot of free throws play...

First of all, they take a lot of field goals, second, they drive hard to the hoop which easily attracts defenders and fouls as opposed to Ray Allen who shoots perimeter field goals thus he does not shoot many free throws while Dwayne Wade attacks the hoop like a madman and gets fouled a ton.

The NBA gets alot of criticism because of the reasons is that the refs tend to favor star players. Since Michael Jordan played in the NBA. it has been happening more often. He wouldn't have won as many championships had the refs not went easy on him. It is true because Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy questioned the same thing about refs favoring star players and as a result was fined a record $100,000. Wade is one of the few players who have this luxury. Announcers and sports writers were talking about it during the 2006 NBA Finals. So, I think he does, and the NBA needs to do something about it.

No way. Maybe if he wouldn't get fouled he wouldn't shot so many frees a game. D Wade is a great player and i guess that enough to make the other teams foul him so much.

I don't know if the refs even care anymore about big players.

Of course not but you can 'made' the referee 'stand on your site'. All you need to do is never shows expression on face no matter what happen in the ball game. Try it.
PEACE~
