The Bulls arent being underestimated, they are being ignored, which is good because the Bulls arent NBA royalty. The Bulls made a bonehead trade after getting J.R. Smith from the Hornets in the Chandler trade. They finally had a chance to have a legit scoring threat in the back court (Ben Gordon is wildly inconsistent). Also, Smith is 6'6 so with combining Thabo Sefolosha at 6'7, there is your big back court.
But lets see...Scott Skiles will sit Tyrus Thomas & Thabo Sefolosha and screw up their development for at least 2 years. If Thabo and Tyrus got some playing time, next year, they could make a huge leap ala Luol Deng from last year to this year.
The Bulls will make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs...any further and I will be shocked.

With all do respect, they don't have any big guys who can score inside. Ben Wallace, Tyrus Thomas was all about rebounding and blocking shots. The best low post threat on the bulls is P.J. Brown.
Conference Champs? Perhaps. But not nba champs.

A truely Bulls fan, but Skiles is just a screw up for these young guys. He is very defensive minded which is great, you can make stops but he has a very slow offensive execution. Having young guys like Deng, Thomas, Sefalosha, Gordon you have to be able to speed up your offensive execution and run the offense at full speed.
If the bulls are thinking about winning Conference champanion, they gotta trade Duhon for a bigger power forward that can score maybe Zack Randolph
Back to the underestimation, they are underestimated cuz they are small, young line up whom are somehow inconsistent.

I think the Bulls can play alot better than they are now. I am a huge BULLS fan and also from Texas. i saw Tyrus Thomas at the sweet 16 against Texas he blocked them and rebounded like a mutha when the BULLS got him i was like they got Big Ben TT and a good coach ........... yup.. NBA Finals
