It depends on you where you look for your self in future.
After engineering you may look for some particular field where you feel competent with your knowledge and you can best decided which more things you need to command over for making your future eminent in that particular field.
For example i am B-Tech in Mechanical then i have done M.B.A in Material Management further i hold M-Tech in cad/cam
now serving in T.C.S
as Project head in Mechanical
You can decide it according to your expectation and dreams to come true

Engineering is a HUGE field. Which discipline are you interested in?
I work for a firm that deals with soil mechanics, geology and structural engineering - although my area of expertise is in computer networking.

it depends which stream u chose for ur ug dgree lavanya
ece: u can do a course in microcontrollers interfacing and their architecture and various other fields
eee:u can go for robotics,computer design using vlsi technique and various other fileds
ei:apllicable as eee
cse (or) it :embedded systems,m.b.a. (i.t.)

then you study M.E, M.Tech.
