He has always had my sister,but she recently passed away.I live in Fl.He needs something to occupy him.He hasnt worked much cause of the snow.He is going stir crazy in his apt.

sorry for your loss. the older people get, the less likely they want to do activities. i don't know your dad lifestyle....maybe he could meet people in church or some group such as a senior citizen group at your local recreation center. Places where people get together and play bingo or just talk. a hobby could be painting or cars...whatever you think interests your dad. BTW keep in touch with him.

does his community have an enrichment center. most places do for the elderly to have activities and other people to meet. it's open daily and it's free. if not get him a pet, puzzles worked for my aunt (those big ones) or have him volunteer somewhere like the local hospital or elderly homes or shelter.

He could also volunteer somewhere.

you should make a profile for him on plentyoffish.com and try to set him up with some females his age in the area
