I had to answer your question when I saw it because my first thought was WHAAAAA????? This is because until you define what it is you mean your question can't be answered:
"Definition of Aggression.
1. Aggression has been defined as "overt behaviour with the intention of inflicting damage or other unpleasantness upon another individual" (Moyer, 1968).
BEAR IN MIND THAT THE ABOVE DEFINITION IS NOT EXHAUSTIVE; RATHER, IT IS ONLY A SINGLE, POSSIBLE INTERPRETATION!
2. The possibility for aggression exists whenever there is a conflict of interests between two or more individuals.
3. Aggression depends upon the context and can be divided into several types
a). Maternal aggression.
b). Learned aggression.
c). Fear-induced aggression.
Androgen-mediated aggression: e.g. intermale conflict, territoriality, resource acquisition and defence, sex-related aggression, creation and maintenance of dominance hierarchies".
You see now that until you put your question into context - and in the absence of a definition - you will receive a hodge-podge of answers in the with everyone interpreting "aggression" differently. So then: WHAT EXACTLY is your "question"?

It's an interesting question. I think women are just as aggressive but in different ways. If you've ever seen a pack of girls mercilessly tear into an unpopular girl at school, you know girls can be extremely vicious and cruel. I think women have just been taught from birth that girls do not hit or fight, and so they turn their physical aggression into verbal and manipulation aggression instead.
For the record, my tough as nails Mexican neighbor, a 45 year old man, cannot bring himself to kill an animal, even though they raise goats and chickens for food. He gets his daughter to do it, lol!

Research has shown that men are quicker to anger than are women. But while unprovoked men are generally more aggressive than women, the gender differences either disappear under provocation, or women may actually become more aggressive than men

I think men and women both can be equally aggressive, but probably in different ways.

Aggression has grown out of standard Darwinism.
It exists in both sexes.
Human females are socialized to be nice. As a direct result, many females resort to passive-aggressive behavior.

put an ad on any dating web site with a photo of an attractive woman. Wait for responses. When men write, write them back, politely, that you are not interested. Read men's responses and decide. If you could decide something after reading them.

Men tend to be more aggressive, especially if it's physical. Women are aggressive though, but it manifests itself as passive aggression all too often.

Equal, men are more bold, which is why men's aggression is overt and women's aggression is more passive aggressive.
