ask her if her life insurance is paid up and that you are the beneficiary.

I know this is hard on you and you want what is best for your mother. But the only person who can help her, is herself. She has to want to quit smoking for herself. Smoking is just like a drug addict trying to quit drugs. It's very hard to stop, because it is so addicting. There is absolutely nobody that can make her quit. I know how hard this is for you. I am a smoker and have been for 30 years. My children want me to quit so bad, but the more they push me into quitting, the more I want to smoke. So, maybe the best thing to do, is back down a little bit. If she stops hearing how much you want her to quit, maybe she will have some time to really think about it and quit by herself. It's worth a try, isn't it? Good Luck!

Try to stay healthy yourself.
Stay away from her when shes smoking.
Thats really all you can do.
Remember she really might want to quit, she just cant, dont blame her...
Dont get mad at her for it.

um...mind your business. if she wants to smoke that is her choice..even if she is asthmatic, she is grown. i understand youre concerned, but there really is nothing you can do.
