Good question, but I don't know the answer. I am replying because you should know that picking your nose is a way to get a dangerous infection if you break the skin. Lots of nasty bacteria in your nose (and on your fingernails) would just love to get into your bloodstream.

If you pick your nose long enough, then your nostrils WILL expand... but it's pretty much only temporary... that I know of.
Just please, don't be having your finger stuck in your nostril for weeks. Who knows? It could probably actually keep your nostrils expanded.
