Basically Indians are religious minded and God fearing and their wants are very minimum. They expect not much from any political party or politicians and the political parties also do not show any difference with the other in religiously taking people for a ride.People have great faith in fate,God,astrology, and politicians . They don't mind being ruled by any party . They have infinite tolerance towards anything going wrong. They are always prepared for the worst. Most important, they are busy all the 24 hours all 365 days in running around ,hunting for their baisc needs and they don't find time to think which is better or not,
The mind set of the people is such that they ready to be ruled by anybody from any other country, after getting used to be ruled by Mohammedans and then by the British for about 500 to 600 years.
They are very broad minded and don't mind being ruled by communists. It will not make any adverse impact in their living conditions as they have already seen worst things in life and nothing worse will ever happen.

Because it is Capitalism/Communism hybrid that is very similar to China. And I think you may want to elaborate what you mean by thriving. Do you mean the economy is growing or do you mean the Commies are gaining more social control? Anyways, modern-day communism has it's advantages such as more control over economic policies etc. Of course the human rights part is the kicker but there are always both sides to a coin.

Communism, socialism, and liberalism keep shifting from time to time. This is because all types of politics have their pros and cons and the longer one type stays in power the more its failures are pronounced which would in turn lead to a shift to other types of politics (beliefs) by the general population since they get dissatisfied with corruption and scandals. If you think communism is only rising in India, you should check Countries such as Venezuela, Bolivia, Nicaragua etc. You can bet that in a couple of decades more and the shift will swing back. Meanwhile other countries will shift back in a few years time.

Due to its rather passive manner in India, Communist Party of India was created as an alternative mass movement to the existing Congress anti-imperialist movement. The communist movement grew out of economic causes and was rooted against the propertied classes whether British or Indian. The "revolt" was not against the colonial government and the ruling Congress Party as much as it was against the capitalist system. As far as communist parties world-wide were concerned the Communist Party of India, the CPI, was too conservative and ineffective.
"In India it thrives hand-in-glove with labour unrest,in the times of uncertainty, disorder and, weak governments" If you believe all these then I guess you understand the driving force behind communism in India

because , indians have to understand the meaning of communism.
capitalism is real communism, everyone should get what they worth. one has to make oneself worthy.
let us not imagine communism will bring everything to everyone.
the awareness started growing in india. it is not very far that every indian will understand the value of every individuals life and thus understand that communism is not to share somebody else' hardship. it is to share the sources available. also to share the attained knowledge among their fellowship. the real meaning of communism is capitalism. that is why it is being followed all over.
