it was NASA, not nixon. you shouldn't ask questions about things that you don't understand because you weren't alive. maybe you should stick to ashley simpson questions.

Hi,
I can't see that Nixon was personaly involved in the massive amount of technology, engineering, training, testing etc. that went into the NASA achievements.
I see him more at home with stuff that has gone wrong in the USA space programme.
It seems that he probablly had trouble with a calculator.
Pinched the batteries out of White House ones, then denied it.
If you imply that mankind has not been to the moon, well how come we can detect reflective, earthmade items on the surface ?
Perhaps they should have sent Nixon, and left him there.
Oh, nothing personal against the guy, really, just a bit of a twit,
Happy lunar landings !
Bob.

No...The plans were put in place when the Soviet Union struck at the heart of our space program with Sputnik. We decided then and there that we would be the first to moon walk. Those events predate Richard Nixons presidency by at least ten years.

Absolutely YES.
There is indisputable proof that skeptics fail to mention when they talk about they're half-baked conspiracy theories.
There is equipment that was placed on the moon during the apollo missions that is still used to this day.
They placed a few mirrors that reflect powerful lasers off the surface. They showed it happening, there is no way they could fake it, it happens regularly. They time how long it takes for the laser to return, and they can find the exact distance of the moon relative to the earth.
Also, it would have been more complex, and would have cost more to keep a secret this big for nearly 40 years.

wasnt it JFK who vowed to get an american into space within ten years? If nixon had anything to do with it he was just building on Kennedys foundations.
The moon lander though does look like somthing you could put together it you shed with sufficiant tin foil and ply wood.
I think even though they put a man in space the man on the moon was just a PR stunt to rally american spirit and to show the russians "who's the man"

Of course the moon landing happened, Aldrin and Gogarin. In some program a long time ago Aldrin looked up at the sky and said "Last time I saw the moon that clearly, I was standing on it" or something like that, that gives you the answer.

No way. We can't send any man farther than the space station. If we had been on the moon, we would build cities there right now! We haven't been near the moon.

Yes because of tho there are lots of programs suggesting conspiracy theories and so on the footage was apparently fake it is possible that when the flag wobbled it was because how they put it in the ground, and as there is no air, there is no air resistance so it would keep wobbling and other things cant expain all kinda busy, just came on here for a minuet or two

I don't believe they did, if not there would have been a permenant moon base long ago to signify this achievement and to study the lunar surface and see if it is possible we can be self sufficient away from our home the earth.

Forget Tricky Dicky. There is ample proof that the moon landing was actually made. The effort was watched by hundreds of telescopes around the world.
