Given that few people have travelled the world, that's a hard question to answer. I've lived in seven countries (Korea, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, USA and those below) outside of my own and I'm not that well travelled.

Of those I have been to and enjoyed:

1. Thailand. The scenery is beautiful and the people are wonderful; I have never met a group of people who knew more how to enjoy life. The only bad part about Thailand is that so many westerners have gone there for sex tourism that people who are not looking for sex (eg. me) are assumed to be that sort; amazingly, even the sickos out for sex are treated with respect. (And the godbots want to pervert the Thais to christianity.... 9_9)

2. Japan. Despite what you hear about the anti-foreigner sentiment in Japan (and it does exist), the Japanese are unfailingly polite and kind. If you go, be polite and they will get past their dislike of foreigners. Their sensibilities are very different, but once you learn and understand, their culture makes a lot of sense. And the landscape? Cripes, unlike westerners who bulldoze everything, the Japanese know how to incorporate natural aesthetics into their cities.

Of countries I want to visit but have not:

1. Iceland. Despite how far north it is, the winters are less harsh than where I'm from in Canada. And name another country where 80% of the population live in one city (Korea is next at 35%). Those people are literate, well educated, almost all are bilingual in English yet they are less afraid of English than Americans are of Spanish. If you can read Icelandic, you can read the old norse fables like Beowulf. And their women? Cripes the only country where the average-looking woman is more beautiful than the average-looking Icelandic woman is India. Speaking of which....

2. India. I wouldn't want to take a boat ride on the Ganges, never mind swim, but the teeming number of people in India and its variety of cultures, religions and languages (200 of _each_) is astounding. I would be fascinated to live and work there on a daily basis.

3. Belize. Tiny Belize has the population of Iceland but has the weather of the tropics. It's 60% Spanish and 40% English speaking, and a former British colony, so a Canadian wouldn't have much trouble retiring there. And the only political strife the country ever had with El Salvador was settled a decade ago; nobody has ever really wanted to invade.

Wales - beautiful mountains and streams. Lovely towns and people
Jamaica - wonderful weather, gorgeous sunsets, great beaches and resorts
Canada - clean air, nice people and open spaces
Australia - the outback, interesting people, didjerdoos
Greece - ancient history, atmosphere.

Of them Jamaica. The climate is wonderful. In many places it seems untamed. I enjoyed listening to music, experiencing wonderful sunsets over the water. It was a relaxed pace and no one seemed to be in a hurry - a pleasant change from the hurry and wait of home.

My favorite is Germany because of how we were treated there by the people and it is one of the cleanest most beautiful countries in this world. I loved the pure white snow, the grapes growing up the mountainsides and the castles!

hmm... England for sure because of the class system in place, as opposed to the race system here in the U.S. >_< India, because everywhere you look, there's a reminder of God/Allah/Higher Power/etc. Aaaand that's all I can think of, oddly enough o_O haha yeahhhh my own country doesn't make it on there, except if I had to say why I liked it (if at all) it's because it has my university haha
