It certainly is not just you.The whole thing is puerile and not worth a moments consideration by anyone with half a brain. What can be sadder than half the population sitting watching a load of show offs acting up in front of the nation. They are I assume paid a ridiculous amount of money for been rude and controversial.Anyone who goes on this silly show deserves all they get.The media is pathetic.---------now I'm all cross.

I would have agreed with you any other time; In fact I did ask myself the same question.
However, when you read about history; slavery and how difficult it was to abolish it in theory and in practice, I can't but think that, yes, it does deserve top coverage.
Racism is covert, inequalities between races still exists whatever people say; the one which is fine to talk about is gender issues, but racism is totally real and needs to be addressed.
Again, it was a bad thing that happen on big brother, but I think that it made politician take a clear position, and speak straight for once.
Too often people hide behind statutquo, or brush that type of issue away. No, it needs to be addressed.
And if Jade Goody is the unfortunate one to make history in modern era, then tougth.
She'll be popular once more for the wrong reasons, but something had to be done, as it was no issue to brush under the carpet.

I think with the advent of 24hr news, any news makes the news. Also, all those who watch BB will no doubt enjoy reading about it in the rags. Also, maybe everyone is sick to death of 'real' news and find the Jade sage a bit of light relief.

Of course it does, but only because the papers, tv & radio are pandering to the people who watch such complete rubbish.
It's all about ratings, and unfortunately CBB sells papers and advertising

That's nothing.
There is a kitten in Sunderland been playing with a ball of string all day!
Go to the headlines to see a crowd of reporters outside the house.I agree it is pathetic.
But they cover football and darts matches too, and lets face it Sport is really boring. but sad people with no life really want to watch it and thats fine.
