then but they're short and i read her blog which has personal information of her life but anyone can read that. and i spent 9 days with her on a trip we never hang out. can you be "close friends" if you never hang out but email every few months

Close friends share more than just a couple of forwards each month. I think that you should ask her to define close friends.

i dont know close friends talk during the day even if they get into trouble about close friends tell each other what happen every second of the day whether tell got an A on a test or if they nail broken just a minute ago close friends dont let other people talk about them behind their backs that is what close friends do i dont think you are close friends if you dont do anything that is close to this

"Close friend" doesn't means that she MUST stick to you & call you & email you & all. I have so many close friends & I've never been out with them even once.. call them seldom & even email them on very important occasion but that doesn't means we are not friends.
She doesn't demands much from you but you do expect more because you have started liking her. Just tell her what you feel. The results might not be favorable, but just to know whats in her mind, you can try it.

This is nothing but filling a gap in the so-called friend of yours...
Apparently, she has other plans all the way through...
Forget about E Mails...Sometimes it could be a feeling of not chatting or typing or the like, but when it comes to a NINE DAY TRIP with not of CRAZY MEMORIES TO TALK ABOUT IN THE FUTURE means nothing to me more than a waste of time with someone who pretends to be a friend of yours...

I wouldn't take it badly, some people are not big into communicating and you'll probably find that she considers you a close friend because your one of the few people that she trusts to watch her back and not stick a knife in it.

yes you can still be friends i've got friend's i haven't called in a year or two because i moved away but i moved back but i haven't called yet but i got one friend out of state that moved also ive lost touch with her i guess we're still friend's we just live far apart

Could be you are looking for more of a 'relationship' than she is. You might need to evaluate what type of friendship with her that you want... and that she's willing to be a part of.
