In my experience with east idians that migrated to the united states, is that a lot of them do not like black people, and are very rude to them, they even give them poor service when they own various businesses, but treat white people with respect and even go out of their way for them, and most of my white friends don't even like indians, as they told me on several occassions especially since 9/11. I also noticed that indians like to stick to their "own kind" when it comes to relationships and marriage, but if their child dates a "white person" its acceptable but if its a "black person" it's world war 4. My little brother met a new friend at school which happened to be an idian kid, well since he was indian the kids at school would'nt befriend him so my brother who is a really nice kid gave him a chance, but the other day my little brother went to the indian kids house and his parents refused to let my little brother in because he was black and this really angered me as he is only 10

not all east Indians are like that I'm part Arabic and Sri lankan, I have a few friends that are east Indian and their parents don't make a fuss about black kids coming over, or even Muslims coming over. Even some white kids came over for parties. It may be different in each country, but I do agree that some parents are SOO racist it pisses me off sometimes. After reading your story I couldn't believe this, how could they treat your son like that? I live in Canada and here or anywhere it should not be tolerated. I guess some people are just soo ignorant. How did your son feel about being treated like that? At that age I would've been hurt badly.

I know what u're talking abt.Trust me they hate their own kind too. India has got this screwed up caste system where the fairer indians are superior to the dark ones. I'm a third generation Indian from south-east asia with roots in s.africa. The ones from India that come to my country to work are pretty racist and ignorant. You need to tell them to piss off. They're easily intimidated.

if this is your experience, then I imagine you have lived a fairly sheltered existence. Since 9'11??? What have Indians got to do with 9'11? 80 % of them are Hindu.

When you say a lot, what do you mean by that? you know. 0.2% of the entire population of American is Indian, I seriously doubt you have come across a lot. Indians in the UK mainly have black friends over white ones. It is a shame that the Indians you have come across feel the way they do, but its sounds to me like they are immigrant shop owners who probably have had, or had friends who have had bad experiences with "black" * people at gun point (US crime stats on who commits what kinds of crimes, ie. robbery, white collar, petty crime, drugs, GTA) . Those kinds of things do generally breed hatred, its a psychological fact.

* Brown, everyone is Brown! If I actually saw someone who was black, I would go and get my eyes checked.

If indian people migrated to US think like this then it is wrong. I am from indian subcontinent too. I like black people more than white ones. Basically i like all people. But due to US media , and how they portrayed black people and show them they are criminals, many people from all over the world believe the media. Blacks are not criminals, the people who show them as such are criminals.
