how do i correct this setting....????am not able to access my yahoo mail & other websites...plz help and thanks in advance....

GOTO Tools, Internet Options from within Internet Explorer ...

or do you see the big *** blinking bar @ the top of the screen ???

with the word settings, or options ??

This kinds of problem generally occurs on XP. i guess you are also using XP. I would like to advise you few things. i hope it will work. just try out this......
1. go to control panel
2. Click over internet Option Icon
3. go to security tab.lower down the slider.
if again u are facing the same problem then try out this.
1,2,3. click over advanced tab and check Active X related filter.
after this it should work,

go to your cookies settings and allow all cookies if that doesn' t work turn off your spyware,virus protection.But once you download active x you might as well dump your pc reboot and start over .a-x has alot of damaging info that will screw up your pc and since youcant acess you yahoo email you must have your cookies blocked go to internet options and allow some cookies

Leave the setting to block ActiveX alone. Add the specific site to your "trusted sites" list. I think it is in /tools/options.
