Luck plays a big role in everything, especially success. Even if you are the best of the best, if you have bad luck, something WILL happen to you to destroy your career, like getting hit by a car before arriving to a crucial appointment etc.

Not a "big" role, but I always say you can't rule it out in any situation - good luck or bad. There are just variables over which you have no control, no matter if you made all the "right moves."

I think the belief that you have the capacity to succeed helps you, aided by 'luck' or not, but conversely, a strong belief in luck means that some could leave a situation entirely to circumstance instead of investing the time and energy needed to achieve a goal.

There are many factors which play their role in success.
Hardwork, intelligence, right time, right place and many more. But, the trick is to put in the work and thinking that is needed and see if the other factors also coincide.

No. There is no such thing as luck. All things function on law of one kind or other. In daily human affairs we function by desire, which creates a sense of duality. then The law of Karma (cause & effect), Actions in thought word and deed are the creative process in carnal man. they also create his destiny. read; "As a man thinketh by James Allen. One can rise to the level of spiritual life, Living by the laws of Dhrama, Doing ones duty in service to God. All things are but God expressing his vision of himself. Read "The Impersonal Life" by Joseph Brenner.
