I am trying to get 2000 answers to compile a survey of people's habits on this subject.Do you write on your hadns and how often do you do this? Include where on your hand you prefer to write on and why? What ink do you prefer to use and how long does it normally stay on for? Do you in general think this is a good method of remembering stuff, or do you just doodle for fun or when bored??

I write on my hands daily. If it is something important I jot it there. I won't lose my hand. But a the little bits of paper either get lost or washed. I write on the left I am right handed only makes sense. Any regular ink, usually have to rewrite it. I wash my hands alot. I have to write things down or I get the details messed up. I remember drs appt but at what time, or I remember there is something I have to do but can't remember what.

Oh I do this all the time! I normally write stuff on my hand if I need to remember to do something; more often than not you'll see a short shopping list on there. Right now, on my left hand is written 'coffee and squash'. And it did make me remember to buy them!

I will always write on my left hand, as I am right-handed.

Edit: Urgh. I appear to have something in common with Noel Edmonds.

I did it in college all the time. I can't remember the last time I have written on my hand. I jot thing down like a madman in my pda. I use the notepad function to doodle so I guess that's replaced writing on my hand.
Always wrote on palm just below thumb.
I would remove it as soon as it was useless
Would write phone numbers on my hand alot

Not that often anymore, used to write phone numbers, names, & doodles on the palm, I even drew the yin yang symbol like a tattoo on the webbing between my thumb and first finger when I was bored.

Yes, I do it quite often at work where I am moving about and need to remember dimensions I write them on my right palm. I normally use black ink and it usually fades away in about an hour or when I next wash them.

I have when I didn't have paper, but I'd never write on my self for fun. When I was a teen I wrote and drew all over a pair of jeans though. If I have something I need to remember I write it on my calendar or tape it to my computer desk, or stick it on my monitor with a post it note.

Yeah, everyday...I'm pretty forgetful. Like the back of my palm because it gets less sweaty. Either blue or black ink, it doesn't stay on long enough..normally no more than two hours (but I have sweaty palms). Yes, because I have to constantly rewrite it.
