I noticed there are many of you who refuse communication via email, using Yahoo, as the go between.
For what reason do you refuse, has it caused you problems in the past?

I thought Yahoo kept your email address private, so you only get mail via them.
That means Spammers are blocked.

The reason for my refusal is to avoid my email address being made public for any spammers to aquire and start using, I get enough spam without advertising for more

My guess is that the person doesn't want to be stalked. Every person who uses Email contacts are allowed, I think, 50 or 20 email messages per day. Couple that with a bad question that really riled people, and, you could get a huge load in your mail server.

I with-hold my email address for the same reasons i wouldn't put my mobile number on for the whole world to see lol

I had no problems in the past but I rather use my e-mail and IM for people i know personally
