Some of my childhood memories that still haunt me from when I was growing up in South Boston, MA.....

1. I remember when a guy pulled up in a red car and called me over and he was masturbating. I was about 4.

2. I remember a dead guy in a field propped up against a pile of bricks across the street from our apartment in the projects.
Kids were throwing rocks at the body.

3. I remember some drunk guy getting on the bus and sitting on my lap with his urine soaked pants.

4. I remember when they found my neighbor girl, Lucy Palmarin murdered, floating in the Fort Point Channel. She was about 6.

5. I remember a black guy getting pulled off the bus by a bunch of white guys and being beaten and kicked in the head till his ears were bleeding because he "had the nerve" to take the wrong bus into our neighborhood.

Moving out of that place at age 12 was the best day of my childhood. Good old Southie.

I remember locking myself in my room alot, and the way the light from the nightlight and the crack in the door would look all blurry and break into prizmatic color though my tears. I remember how sometimes if I stayed in there long enough after my mom and I had a fight she whould come apologize, and the way she would sit on the side of the bed and lean over with her hand on the other side made me feel trapped and pinned down under the sheet. I was angry and I didn't want to accept her apology but I always did.

My vivid memory is when I was up in the mountains of Calif. sleeping next to my mother and sister in the back of a pick up truck.I remember waking up and the blaket that covered us was lightly dusted with snow. Everything around me was covered with this magical stuff. Being fro S. Cali. This was really something. I remeber also the pure stillness of nature..no outside noise...pure silence....ahhhh what a lovely memory..thanks for the ???????

When I was five or six, I was at a friend's house, and his psychotic wiener dog bit my FACE! I had 32 stitches in my upper lip. I still remember the sound of the doctor pulling the thread through my numbed skin! (*shudder*)

I love animals but to this day I get chills when I see dachshunds!

my first memory is when I was 2 and got my tonsils out. I very clearly remember being in the hospital at night without my parents and talking to the girl in the crib next to me - I remember that she had the same first name that I have.
