If i have the cruise control set on my truck and i forget and put my foot on the gas, will it in any way damage my truck?? I don't know much about trucks or any vehicle for that matter...

no, I do it every day on the road. It will just speed up, then when you let your foot off, it will slow down to the set speed and it won't hurt anything.

When you have the cruise control on, and step on the gas (such as you would to pass a slower moving vehicle) you do no damage at all to your vehicle.

When you let back off the gas, the vehicle should return to the set speed. If you touch the brake, that will disengage the cruise control, and you will have to hit the "resume" button when the traffic allows you to do so safely!

No, as long as you don't plant your foot into the gas pedal, but that has nothing to do with the cruise control. Whether the cruise control is on or not, you can blow the engine by "flooring it."

No. All stepping on the gas will do is disengage the cruise control. You will have to resume your last set speed or switch your cruise control back on.
