Not that big as big it is projected by the political master of either sides. How can this be a bigger issue than the Hunger, Poverty, Illiteracy, Human suffering ...... unless someone brings this issue forth to hide the should be issues.

It's only a political ploy by the pakistani government to exploit the population, as they have nothing better to do.
Since they started the slogans of Azad Kashmir in Pakistani occupied Kashmir ( where the Kasmiris are living under oppression, clearly evident from the recent earthquake disaster in the Pakistani Kashmir side ), Kashmir has gone downhill economically and culturally. The people do not know what peaceful co-existence meana, they are getting robbed of education and other means of progress due to the unnecssary political unstability deliberatley created by Pakistan. After all there are hundreds of times more Muslim people dispersed throughout the fabric of the secular and democratic India. They are definitely enjoying a much better life in many common aspects.
For the same political gain Pakistanis have been instigating the sikhs of Pakistan. And the foolhardy sikhs hav'nt learnt their lessons from even what their gurus told them.
If India wanted to play the same game with Pakistan, it would probably be divided into more parts than they can ever imagine due to the political dissension of the various groups within Pakistan. That's why they are not getting rid of the military rule. That's not what Pakistan was craeted for . Pak - True, Stan ( sthan, a place, an Indian Hindi word ).

Yes, Kashmir is an issue between India & Pakistan. So far no solution has been found on either side. Every year joint meetings are held, resolving other issues rather than Kashmir. This issue is eluding solution. Both countries are not budging an inch from their stand that Kashmir is integral part of their respective countries. To find a solution, either of the party will have to sacrifice their stand taking into account all aspects the reality of the issue. Hence Kashmir is a big issue between India and Pakistan to be thrashed out across the table.
