It's very sore now and noises are muffled only in my left ear. It feels like it is blocked. When I block my nose and then blow out my nose it normally unblocks my ears but when I tried this it feels like hot air is blowing out of my ear? Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Damaged or ruptured ear drum? whether thats right or wrong, your rear end should be in a Doctors waiting room. You don't mess with things like that. You NEED to get that looked after, NOW if not sooner. Feel me?

the concussion from the blow could have ruptured your eardrum. or it could just be inflamed and swollen tissue filled with fluid that stopped up your ear (eustachian tube). swelling and fluid retention are normal after an injury like a blow to any part of the body. you nee to see a doctor though. your ears are very important. you need your hearing. don't take any chances.

It sounds like you've ruptured your eardrum...Go see a doctor to confirm it, and make sure it isn't infected. Also, if you don't stop clearing your ears by blowing out your nose for a while, it may not heal. Chances are, and your doc will tell you the same, that the hole in your eardrum will heal on its own.

Go to your doctor. I was hit in the ear by an amateur boxer, and have partial loss of hearing in my left ear from that. I went to the doctor right away, but didn't do a followup later, and I should have.

The sooner you get it seen, the more likely to get it fixed...leave it, and you could suffer from partial or full hearing loss in that ear.
