I currently have a 15% "best answer" score. But if I have to keep following Alex, it'll never get any better than that. I echo everything she said.

Having a passion for anything contributes to a person's personal growth, because passion drives us to achieve, to seek out new experiences, to create, and to keep moving forward. All of these things promote growth on multiple levels.
My passion for acting helped me learn about my strengths and weaknesses. It put me in contact with a diverse group of people who, simply by being themselves, broadened my perspective on the world.
From a strictly technical standpoint, memorizing scripts improved my mind, and probably generated a bunch of new brain cells as well. Memorizing, rehearsing, and performing taught me discipline and respect for hard work.
Acting has also given me the purest satisfaction I've ever experienced, and I believe that other people's passions do the same for them.
