I was told to keep the wound open "as long as possible" and let it heal from the inside out. But after three weeks, the wound is still leaking enough fluid to soak the bandage that I change once a day. What is still draining out? And does this mean that it's not going to heal properly?

MRsa is very contagious- so watch your hands and use fresh towels each time and don't share w anyone= let md know you still have drainage- depending on how big the wound was= it should be healed by now- if you have diabetes it may take longer to heal- see MD =D- rn

I was made aware of this Infection in Sept; It is an Infection that over counter Anti-Biotic will not stop'; I work out side ,Operate equip,and walk about 3 Mile most days;------The Bacteria 'Yeast and Staph are on the body even after Showering ,washing hands often, this is Good; I found that about 75 % of Medical workers carry this , but it is only a threat when Immune system is weakened; Example some Medications will weaken the Immune System; I also discovered a large number of "healthy people had a battle with this;in autuam of 07; Some thought a Spider had bitten them;;;;;;The Med Sulfa was given to Me; It was a ten day treatment,One Pill in am and one in pm; Yes it will go away,the Red area will start to peel like a sunburn,It will take longer for the area to completely heal and not even noticeable; I would venture to guess that ,If You do an Inquirey of People in and around You; You will be shocked at the Number; Most People will not admit having it; Some were Young;

hi. first of all, don't mind the people up there who thinks its gross. you lanced it yourself? a sample may need to be biopsied. if you lanced it yourself then the procedure was not sterile, it should have been done under sterile conditions, in the operating room with a doc. i think that it may be infected and you may need antibiotics. please see a doc. meanwhile, wash it often only with MILD SOAP and water.
