pro players dont play recklessly. they wont force shots to embarass themself. they take their time. amateurs would play recklessly. always taking wild shots and running to the hoop to get block or knock down. they also tend to like doing crazy dribbles....which is no help if you just doing it in one place when it not going to help shake off opponents...

good question. you can actually know it by the players movements. the way , he or she handle the ball, the way he jump for the basket and above all the mannerisms.

their points assists rebounds etc. and the way they move the ball up and down the court, the mistakes they make
