Its really tough to prove such old beliefs.

But it is believed that eating saffron and more like white stuffs makes a baby's skin fair

white stuffs like milk, paneer, cheese, coconut water, more of fruits and least of Tea and coffee.

Although, the complexion depends on that of the parents, but hey, thora care karne may aur thora dhyaan rakh kar chalne may kya nuksaan?

Being a student of science, I dont agree with these speculations. The complection if the baby depends on the genetic gene pairing of the parents. If the parents are homozygous fair, then the child ud be fair....Well I dont want to make it boring by taking u thru the pages of the biology book!

hmmmm ... i've never heard that before. frequently, newborns will have "milk bumps" or infant acne during their first week or two outside the womb. this is just their bodies ridding themselves of the mother's hormones. i suppose some infants/children have sensitive skin which is probably hereditary. the best thing you can do imo is eat healthy foods while pregnant and BREASTFEED. i know there is a known link between lower cases of eczema and breastfed babies. and a lower risk of allergies with bf babies (and there is supposedly a correlation between allergies and acne).

basically color of the baby is genetical, but ya it can be improved by taking saffron milk. but only a pinch of saffron shud be taken........ if taken in more amount the baby becomes more dark.

I never changed my diet from before I was prego, and took my prenatal pills, and my son's skin is beautiful. I think alot of it has to do with parents. My hubby's family is part native american, so he has a great tint to him.

they say it is a myth.. but for some people they say they had done it and it made a difference.. you can try it... there is no harm.. it also depends on you ( I mean the parents) whether they are fair or dark...
