Can I masturbate too much?
Unless you're rubbing yourself raw (try lubrication) or you're doing it so much that it's interfering with other aspects of your life, no, it is not possible to masturbate too much. Some Web sites claim that there is such a thing as "overmasturbation," but they're only doing this to scare people into buying phony pills that do nothing. Masturbation does not cause hair loss, chronic fatigue, etc. Don't let one bad Web site ruin your enjoyment of this healthy activity.

You can find more info such as this as well as techniques for masturbation at the site listed below...it is for men & women as well as couples.

Physically? Mentally? Socially?

Physically, it depends on what you are doing. For example, excessive masturbation may make your skin (on your penis) dry and may peel. Use moisturizer.
Also, you will have a temporary drop in the amount of semen you will produce because you are masturbating so much (each day?). Rest will fix this problem.

Mentally, you may crave the ecstasy that you get from the act.
There is nothing wrong with that. However, be aware of how much you thing about it.

Socially: If masturbation affects your social life/daily life (not leaving the house, not going to work or school) then you have a problem. It is possible to have an addiction to masturbation as it is to be addicted to sex. Seek counseling if this is the case.

yes. a common aftereffect is posting a lot of wierd questions on net forums ;)

interesting how many women answered this question for men.
and not for women..

I find that when I have sex more than once in a day, the second time often lasts way longer than the first, so my guess is that, if anything, premature ejaculators might be men who don't masturbate *enough*. Its been so long since they had any release that they're just too amped up..

[remember, what womens bodies produce gets eliminated once a month regardless of their sex life, whereas what mens bodies produce -vastly more- doesn't get elimated any other way.)

BTW women who use vibrators a lot sometimes report becoming insensate, ie it gets *much* harder for them to come any other way, at least for awhile..

masturbation (even "excessive", however thats defined) generally doesn't affect sex life or vice versa, except in the sense that a person has only so much energy (and time!) in a given day or week. this is especially true for men, because of sperm production, which generally takes a day or two to get back up to peak (tho that doesn't always stop us ;)

Yes, excessive masturbation will lead to wanting to do it more. The desire for masturbation may lessen with marriage, yet will creep back as a regular habit again. Side effect during intercourse may be premature ejaculation. It will take the assistance of your partner to decrease the urge to ejaculate so quickly. Good luck. I took an oath after the first time never to do it again. After a week took another oath never to stop.

Hairy palms?
Red Rooster?
Carpal tunnel syndrome?

No. Its all a myth, But excessive anything is not good. Soon you'll find things missing, No Big screen tv, no kids running around, no wife/husband, no nice car, etc.... because life is all about balance.
Some good some bad, some fun, some work, some fantasy some reality. Y'know?

well, lack of lube could result in making your penis raw from friction but other than that, there shouldnt be any after effects. other than coming too fast the next time you make love

If you masturbate obsessively, are still alive and well then I think you can assume there are no negative effects from it.

well if you dont use the right lube you can make it hurt, and if you do that for years and then get married you may not be able to get it up with a woman since you have been in love with your hand for so long.

one of your hands will become more muscular than the other. The solution is to alternate hands.
