We have the capability and we are already doing so.
Some of our exports include the M&M scorpio, Hyundai santro and the tata indica(both to the UK)

You may be surprised by this but the TATA's and Ashok Leyland have been exporting Trucks and busses to different countries since ages.
If you look at the export figures of Tata Indica, Maruti and Mahendra and Mahendra you would realize that India is already a serious exporter of cars.
We even exported the ubiquitious Ambassador to the UK till a few years back.

Yes but if only they would improve the build quality, safety features, and error proofing in line with world manufacturers.

no one can afford our cars in india they have their own cars. there are only like 3 companys that make cars
