Definitely bed. All the room and darkness under it, just the perfect place for the monster to hide and wait to grab any limbs that hang over the bed.

I can't really remember anything for myself ... but my daughter has some very strange fears ... she's 4 now .. I'd say a few months ago she finally got over the fear of PLASTIC POPPING PAPER ... it was the funniest thing ... every time she would hear one of the bubbles pop she would freak out and start crying .. all you had to do was show her popping paper and she would run as fast as she could from you ... lol ... most kids have a blast running around popping all the bubbles .. nope not my daughter ... I'm sure glad she finally got over that fear .. especially with Christmas coming up and all ... haha ... ! Ok I thought of one for myself ... when I was younger my grandma use to take me shopping all the time in the malls ... well the one thing I use to hate was the escalators .. I always thought they were going to suck me under and cut me up .. I use to dream about not jumping off in time and one toe at a time would get sucked under ... I still kinda do a little jump off the escalators to this day just out of habit ... lol ... !

When I was a wee girl I slept in the same room as my sister...
And there was that door at the far end.
It was opening to a very small kind of hay attic, now used to stock a collection of all kind of things.
Right word for it: paraphernalia
Couldn't be a better hiding place for the Bogey man , for sure.
At the age of 12, I had my own room, unluckily, Bogey man followed and found a nice place under the bed.
I used to be thorn between: should I kick to scare him dead or leave him alone in case he would then grasp my leg?
I won't tell you until when it went,as it is a shame!

Under the bed. I was afraid that there was something under there that would bite off my toes or anything else that got too close.

I used to throw toys and stuff that would scare me in my parents closet lol. Like I had this nightmare about Alf once and was totally freaked out by my alf stuff and through him there. He couldnt hurt me if he was in there! LOL

I'm rambling...sorry...but yeah the monster was under my bed...

The monster was under my bed and in the closet. If I had to go potty he was in the hallway. The monster was everywhere, he was after me.

Bed. I even refused to get my feet too close to the side of the bed when I was getting in and out so he couldn't reach out and grab me. I always hated those flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz... that was what my monster looked like.

Bed usually.

For me, the monster was The Killer Hand.

I had never seen the Adam's Family when I had this little bastard freaking me out in my nightmares. But after I saw the thing was a movie star, I wasn't so scared.

I had three actually.....

There was the monster on the floor, the beast in the closet, but the scariest was one was the last one.

The Shadow Stalker..... the dude that could go anywhere and do anything so long as he stayed in the shadows......

I could deal with the thing on the floor, I just threw shoes at it.
I coped with the the thing in the closet, I just locked the closet door shut with spare bedsheets.
