If you've accepted him as your personal savior no . But for those who haven't they wouldn't understand the meaning of this and the answer would be yes, because if they haven’t accepted him as their savoir they probably don't think of Him as their friend anyway.
as for me the answer is, no, he's been my friend and savior since i was like six and well, in these nine years he has not yet let me down. how many of you can say that about a friend? not to mention the whole salvation from my sins, and allowing me, a sinner saved by grace to go to heaven and met him face to face one day, that's pretty sweet if you ask me.

Greater love has no man then to lay down his life for his friend. Jesus excepted punishment for what you and I did and was put to death for it. I dont know of a more faithful friend than that.
