You are definitely right, we are. Because it swishes and sways, shines and glosses- sort of like why a cat likes to chase a string. Plus guys can't really have long hair, girls can, it's just so cool- and short hair is a deal breaker for me.

Good question.
Each sex is attracted to the other sex because of the differences between them. Men like thin soft girls because men themselves are not thin and soft. Same with long hair (generally).
It is said that by default attractive men shoul have large jaws, thiner lips, lots of muscules and body hair and smaller eyes than females. On the opposite, by default attractive women should have larger soft lips, thin and soft body and larger eyes than men (this is based on a copmarative study about the face differences with males and females).
So long, think nice looking hair makes a woman more feminine (again, generally speaking) and also it is nicer to touch and caress.

Not all do, it's a personal preference.
Long hair is known to be more feminine. As opposed to a short, spikey haircut which looks a bit more, masculine.
It really just depends on the guy.
Some girls look better with longer hair, where as some look stunning with it short.

You are right. I get hit on a lot more with long hair. Strange thing is my hubby wants me to cut it. I'm not sure why he doesn't like long hair. Most guys do. I think most guys see it as more feminine.

ever heard of tangling your hair up in his hands? but seriously, some girls just look right w/ long hair and some girls look right w/ short hair.

basic animal instincts, long hair was equated with young nubile females, once they became of marriagable age they usually had to cover their hair in many old societies.

not all guys like it better! i have emo scene hair and my boyfriend loves it! its all short and spiky in the back and jaw length in the front and it covers one of my eyes. thats the only part he doesnt like is that it covers my eyes. if i keep it out he likes the front too, but he said he doesnt want me to change it. my guess though is that they like it cuz they can run their fingers through it and its fun to play around with

You are of course referring to head hair as opposed to nasal hair or pubic hair or underarm hair or facial hair
i have known ladies whose hair in these other departments , was so long,that they were able to put plaits in!!.
