i have met about 8 and they were all bad news

I've have met many of people off here... I even met the guy i'm with now off the internet. And we've been together for 2 yrs now. But everyone that i had met before him was physco and all they wanted was a piece of @ss that they didn't get...

I have met three different men. Two were jerks after the first date. Worse part, I was NOT impressed with either after meeting them. The third guy was very nice. He messed up though once he got home, called me and said he thought we should not pursue the relationship. Two weeks later he called and said he couldn't stop thinking about me. Well, by that time, I had already made up my mind that he was just loosing out on a good thing, so I had to tell him no. Made me feel good...
Then I met a wonderful couple that came from Hawaii to meet me. I love them both and have stayed friends for about 8 years now.
I talk to alot of people on here and on the phone, but haven't had a chance to meet any more. ONE DAY....

Well, do you mean to date? Well I haven't done that. I have met one person on the internet. We knew each other for five years on the internet before I would agree to meet him because I don't want to mess with any weirdo. He is a nice person and now I can say that I have a nice friend. I would just recommend that you chat with someone for a long time.

Honestly I have met MANY.....one turned out to be a bf...4 year running.....those with no cams I really stay away from..and allow the relationships from on line to develop slowly......for the more haste that goes into a meeting the more dangerous it is..... I have been fortunate.....you sound like very wonderful and sincere individual...i am not afraid to say that not all of the people were who they seemed to be full stop....even had a friend come from abroad in the summer when i had had cancer and kidney stones and tended to me for 3 weeks....it totally turned my life around...I needed that rest and the food was wonderful....amazing what some real humanists will do.... I am one of the fortunate ones.

I'm sorry to hear that 8 people are considered bad news, sounds like a bad hair day but I do understand the reasoning. Personally, I have about 9-11 who I consider very negative in almost everything with crappy attitudes.

met one great guy from germany after casually pen-pal-ing for a few years (he was in the states on business, and stayed with me & my roomies for a few days), not as a dating thing, but he's cool, not bad news.
met about 6 nice guys that i just never clicked with in person for various reasons. not psycos, just not interested in dating them.
met one guy who passed himself off as a pretty decent person, but who ended up being a childish, self-absorbed jerk. total nightmare.
BUT what gives me hope through the whole thing is that one of my best guy friends (who is his own unique flavor of crazy...great guy, but way wacky) not only met a chick online who was willing to put up with him, but met a pretty, intelligent, funny, fun, tolerant chick who married him. it's been 4 years now, and they're still totally in love with each other. so, go go yahoo chat rooms.

i met 3.
1 was complete bad news. he seemed awesome at first though. he's just the most confused person i've ever met. made me hate the internet!!
2nd person is a sweet girl and one of my favorite people.
3rd person is an awesome guy that is just plain fun.

I've met several people through the internet, all of them decent. If you're meeting a bunch of weirdos online, then perhaps you're going to the wrong sites, or maybe you're not getting to know enough about them before meeting them.
