According to the soulmate theory, soulmates are born - not made. If you believe in soulmates, please also note that this theory says that everyone has multiple soulmates - not just one - because soulmates were once a part of a whole system that broke up later into subsystems - very similar to the evolution theory where Earth and other planets in our solar system are supposed to have once been part of the Sun!

I used to believe that we all only had one true person we were destined for. And after going through some torturous times with people I though were that one I found the person I really thought was the one. I was really happy with that person and they were everything I wasn't, but there was still something missing. So I found another that was more similar to me and satisfied the other half that I was missing. So to end the story 2 people made the perfect person for me. They both know each other, live together and love me. And you know what? Life isn't heaven, but it's pretty darned good! We may all have soulmates, but be prepared for yours to be in forms you never thought possible! Life has a funny way of completely surprising you.

Whether there is such a thing as a soulmate, I believe you should embrace mutual love when you find it. There may not be just one person for everyone, and to wait until someone "better" comes along may end in loneliness.

This is only my personal opinion but I believe we have many soul mates, both genders, ages etc. Soul mates are merely souls that you have known in a past life. There is only ONE Twin Flame, which is defined as this: When the Soul is created it splits in two, male/female, and the souls journey is to reunite with their ONE twin flame. Meeting soul mates on the way is part of the process of paying off karma in order to reunite with THE ONE twin!
