does anyone know if you HAVE to get an exam for birth control? Because I know a friend who got it for her period, but she only had to take a pee test. But my mom says you have to get an exam now.

That sounds kind of weird everyone I know had to be examined! They have to make sure you don't have any infections and that the birth control that you are requesting works best for you! BVut, I guess you won't know until you go to a doc yourself!

i had to have an exam 40 years ago when i was getting married, im not sure what the real rules are, but if you are going on birth control and you are into sex an exam shouldnt phase you.

yes, any good gyne will want to do a pelvic exam and a pap smear before putting anyone on birth control, there are too many health risks associated with being on birth control to take in to consideration, they don't want the patient to get sick and they don't want to get sued

i never had to take any test to get birth control i just went in with my mom and they gave it to me because of my period the only thing was they asked alot of questions
