I would have to agree to some extent. Yes they are very close, but there are to many very very talented musicians to say they are the very best. Along with them you would have to include Kerry Livgren (X-Kansas, X-AD, Proto-Kaw and solo), The members of Pink Floyd, Steve Wilson of Porcupine Tree, The members of King's X, Arjen Lucassen of progressive/space rock metal band Ayreon (If u have not heard this band you owe it to yourself to check 'em out. I 'highly' recommend them/him) and last but not least every member of Dream Theater. A subjective question. But no, I would not agree they are "the best musicians ever in music history"
Certainly, they are all individually very talented, and together they made a band that was groundbreaking, unique and highly influential.
Best musician ever is completely subjective.
But you have to through in Mozart, Bach etc., even though i'm not a huge classical music fan.
Current virtuosos like Keith Jarrett and Pat Metheny.
Miles Davis was certainly one of the best musicians of the past 100 years.

Wow, if I were you i'd be like only status there in awe no longer understanding what to assert lol. Ask them which songs they beloved playing perfect at that live performance and which ones they hated playing. And ask Alex to do quite some the voices he does - that guy is so humorous (properly, you do not ought to invite him that lol). tell them they are tremendous at what they do and they save getting extra useful. also, tell them that the Snakes and Arrows live performance intro became hilarious. it truly is the perfect live performance i have been to - you'll like it in case you're a huge fan like me :)

pretty close to it. three guys doing the work of at least four... and Cygnus X-1 was art.
I have heard them called mathemusicians.
