I wish you all well.....for now in the pitch of indigio with snow i have my inhaler and oxygen....my question stands, have you gone years without being ill???? I had....what happened to you?????

That happened to me in 2000...it was the first year in a long time that I didn't get the flu shot. As a result, it ended up saving my life. When they were looking over my chest xrays, they found a good sized tumor on my heart. Had I not gotten so ill, they may have found it too late. I haven't had a flu shot since.
Well, it is 2007 and I'm still kickin'.
You hang in there for "this too shall pass".

I don't know what Pleurisy is, but that sure sounds bad. I had the flu earlier this winter last year. I've gone a year or two without being ill, but nothing that serious.

If I had the flu, it didn't take me out. I got a cold, and ached a bit, but I couldn't afford to slow down. I just did the best I could and pressed on in school.
I might have been aching because I play racquetball a lot. When I play, I frequently hit the floor and walls making saves.

As a health care professional, I took the flu shot. So far this winter, illness has avoided me. Alas, it is still early in the season. Feel better soon.

I've been sick twice, once with a horrible cough and the other was the stomach flu and the runs! I hope you get better soon, take care!

no im sorry to hear this thow...i havent had the flu for at least 20 yrs or so...and i dont know why...i dont get flu shots either...and colds are rare for me....maybe its because i work outside all year around...im not sure...but you take care...

Nope. It is going around the office (started late November, I think) and has turned in to pneumonia and bronchitis for many. :(

I never get the flu i only get lil colds... sniffles, coughs, and running nose...
